Preparedness Beyond People is a capacity-building initiative to improve disaster preparedness and resilience in California Counties. The goal is to enhance community resilience by helping animals and preparing communities for emergencies and disasters.
Disasters, such as fires and floods, impact humans and animals. Including animals in emergency planning protects the health and safety of all involved. By ensuring rural communities take an all-animals-all-hazards approach to preparedness, we build resilience together.
